Obituary of Shaylyn Luree Gardiner

Shaylyn Luree Gardiner, 38, of Cropwell, Alabama passed away on May 19, 2022. Ms. Gardiner was preceded in death by her precious son, Mykal Carter Edward Dawson; and by her grandparents, Patsy Massey, Bob and Becky Barriner, and Jack and Tommie Bradshaw; her uncle Dana Eric Franklin and close friends Michael Macon and Monica Clements. She is survived by her children, Gracelyn Hope Dawson and Peyton Jackson Dawson; mother, Jacquelyn Allen (Ron); father, William Fredrick Gardiner; brothers, Patrick Michael Gardiner and Ronald Eric Allen; grandfather; Edwin Allen; father of her children, Kenneth Dawson; godparents, Mike and Teresa Williamson; aunts: Tammy Brasher (Charles), Belinda Garzarek (Steve), Margaret Ruston (Ricky), Diana Green (Larry), Sabrina Curtis (Mike), uncles: Lynn Allen (Melanie), Ray Allen (Kim), Allen Franklin (Della), Charles Barriner (Suzanne), Stephen Jacobs, Kiplin Jacobs (Norma). adopted aunts: Lurinda Armstrong and Shawna Smith. Nephew, River Gardiner; cousins, Tonya Martin (Jason), Timothy Martin (Melissa), John “Buddy” Beck (Alisha), Crystal Beck, Matthew Allen (Sara), Kayla McFarland (Mason), Lynsey Allen (Jon), Kristin Lindquist, Brittany Anderson, Andrew Sanford, Violet Smith (Mike), James Curtis, Candis Ruston, Ricky Ruston, and Crystal Pankey (Jason), Jeremy Barriner; close friends-like a sister: Alicia Hill Kemplay, Megan Dean, Carrissa Porter, Nicole Anderson, Alisia Goodwin, Danielle Carrol, and a host of other friends and family. The funeral service will be held at 7:00 pm on Sunday, May 22, 2022, at Usrey Funeral Home -Pell City with Pastor Buddy Beck officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Usrey Funeral Home – Pell City. The family requests being that Shaylyn was the light of their life and loved color and happy things, all in attendance should wear colorful clothing to the celebration of life.
