Charles Raymond Lane, of Lincoln, AL passed away May 18, 2022, at the age of 90. His funeral service will be 2:00 pm, Monday, May 23, 2022, at Usrey Funeral Home Chapel with Randy Howell officiating. Interment will follow at Lincoln Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 2:00 pm prior to the service. Raymond was a native of Gadsden, AL and lived most of his life in Lincoln, AL. He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church and served on the Lincoln City Council for 8 years. He formerly worked for A.E. Burgess Construction and retired from Ashland Oil Company. He was a longtime member of Eastaboga Masonic Lodge #155. Raymond enjoyed fishing, gardening, and bowling. Mr. Lane is survived by his wife Frances Combs Lane, son Jimmy Lane (Sharon), daughter-in-law Jamie Lane, grandchildren Tiffany Smith (Henry), Hannah Lane, Sarah Lane, Joshua Lane, great grandchildren Shyanne Lawrence, Cameron Smith, and great-great grandchild Bailee Ann Sargent-Lawrence. He is preceded in death by his parents Eula and Frank Lane, wife Elna Lane, son Jeff Lane, granddaughter Jennifer Lane McCoy, sister Kathryn Greene, and brother James Albert Lane.
