Obituary of Ida Belle Powell Gulsby

TIFTON – Ida Belle Powell Gulsby, 95, of Tifton, Georgia, formerly of Talladega, Alabama, passed away Tuesday, May 10, 2022, at Maple Court Assisted Living Facility in Tifton. Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 14, 2022, in the Chapel of Bowen- Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. Danny Smith officiating. Mrs. Gulsby will be laid to rest at 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 16, 2022, at Pine Hill Memorial Park in Talladega, Alabama with the Rev. Mike Spivey officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 14, 2022, at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of the service. Born February 3, 1927, in Colquitt County, Mrs. Gulsby was the daughter of the late George William Powell and Vera Pearl Colvin Powell. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Hugh Thomas Gulsby; two sons, Tommy Gulsby and Jimmy Gulsby; and one sister, Mae Powell Pitts. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Tifton, Georgia. Mrs. Gulsby is survived by one sister, Nell Powell Smith of San Antonio, Texas; two brothers, Eugene E. Powell of Cumming and Coy W. Powell of Eatonton; and several nieces.
