Obituary of Donald Floyd Hubbard

Donald Floyd Hubbard of Talladega passed away May 8, 2022, at his residence at the age of 82. A funeral service will be held in his honor at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, May 11, 2022, at First Baptist Church in Talladega with Robert Klotz officiating. A private burial will follow at Pine Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Tuesday, May 10, 2022, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Usrey Funeral Home in Talladega. Mr. Hubbard was a native and lifelong resident of Talladega. He retired from Alagasco after 42 years of service. He served in the Army National Guard for 35 years and was a veteran of Desert Storm. He was the Kiwanis Little League baseball coach for 16 years, THS chain gang for 25 years, Talladega City Councilman for 10 years, Mayor of Talladega for 2 years, and Deacon and Usher of First Baptist Church of Talladega. Donald is survived by his wife Patricia “Patsy” Hubbard, daughter Rosemary Hubbard Ragsdale (Randy), son Patrick Hubbard (Addison), grandchildren Caroline Ragsdale, Craegh Ragsdale McBrayer (Kyle), Douglass Hubbard, Beau Hubbard, great-grandchildren Gray McBrayer, Charlie McBrayer, nieces Sylvia Sexton, Suzanne Tidmore, Pat Nelson, Wendy Hubbard, Gina Hubbard, nephews, Larry Hubbard, Danny Hubbard, brothers-in-law, L.C. Styres and Raymond Styres. Pallbearers will be Douglass Hubbard, Beau Hubbard, Kyle McBrayer, Jake Dean, Tim Adams, and George Montgomery. Honorary pallbearers are Jvon Hearn, Scott Cooper, Charles Montgomery, James Braswell, Tommy Capps, Alton Bates, Rufus Styres, Ken Allen, Sr., Jeffrey Camp, and members of Guy Kaylor Sunday School Group.
