Obituary of Gaylon Earl Garner

Mr. Gaylon Earl Garner, 74 of Ragland, Alabama, passed away on April 23, 2022, in Pell City, Alabama. Mr. Garner is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Esther Garner. He is survived by his sister, Ann Garner (Robert) Wallace; brother, Bobby Wayne Garner; niece, Hannah (Alston) Knight; and nephew, Luke Knight. When Mr. Garner was young, he competed in archery tournaments with his parents. He also loved fishing, playing Nintendo, picking blackberries and growing sunflowers. He also collected Avon bottles and has a pretty extensive collection. Mr. Garner also had a passion for Alabama football and Atlanta Braves baseball. Mr. Garner was also a huge science fiction fan and Star Wars and Star Trek were his favorite shows. The family would also like to thank the nurses and staff at Diversicare of Pell City. Graveside service for Mr. Garner will be Wednesday, April 27, 2022 at 11:00 am at St. Clair Memorial Gardens with Bro. Vint Arnold officiating.
