Obituary of Artie Claud Webber

Celebration of Life services for Mr. Claud Webber, age 100, of Talladega, AL, will be held Friday October 17, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Usrey Funeral Home in Talladega with Reverend's Randy Howell, Billy Evans, and Martin Murray officiating. Burial to follow at Pine Hill Memorial Park. Family will receive friends on Thursday, October 16, 2014 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Webber passed away on Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at Clay County Hospital. He was a native of Talladega County, and had worked for many years as a Supervisor and Machinists at Newbury Mfg. Co. He was a lifelong member of Chandler Springs Baptist Church, where he served as a Deacon under some 20 pastors and was a well-respected leader of the church for 76 years. The life Mr. Webber lived touched each and every person whom had the privilege of knowing him. He is survived by his daughter, Linda Hubbard (Cecil) of Talladega; 3 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and 15 great-great-grandchildren. Mr. Webber was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Virginia Webber; son, Stanley Webber; and grandson, Scott Hubbard. Pallbearers will be Lance Hubbard, Steven Hubbard, Tyler Otwell, Joey Boyd, Justin Caudle, Don Crawford, Clint Williamson, and Jason Walker. Honorary Pallbearers will be Nurses and CNA's of Unit 2 of the Clay County Nursing Home.
