Obituary of Nadine Wise

Mrs. Theda Nadine Wise, 83 of Shoal Creek Valley in Ashville, Al. walked into the arms of Jesus Thursday morning, March 10, 2022. Nadine was born June 10, 1938 to Clyde and Myrtle Lancaster in Gadsden Al. Mrs. Wise is preceded in death by her parents; Clyde and Myrtle Lancaster, a son Keith Wise, a sister, Pat Collins, a grandson, Phillip Mize Jr. and three great-grandchildren, Adrien, Harper, and Marley Wise. She is survived by her husband of 53 years Louis Wise; son, Ross (Marsha) Wise; daughters, Beverly (Michael) Merig, Kim (Earl) Peoples, grandchildren, Jesse (Lori) Hale, Rachel (Patrick) Ponder, Jake Wise, Isaac Peoples, Adam (Madeline) Wise, Josh (Linda) Wise, Sam (Raven) Wise, Gabe Wise, Nick (Krista) Ash, Kate (Antonio) Atkins, Jack Merig; sisters, Nancy (Charles) Dawson, Denise (Ralph) Fullerton; great-grandchildren, Vada, and Evie Hale, Tyler, and CeeCee Wise, Jayci Rae Washington, Chandler Melton, Landon, and Tanner Ponder, Kayleen Atkins, River Wise, and Ridley Wise. Nadine loved all of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren with all of her heart. She was fluent in pig latin always telling them to “ivegay emay omesay ugarsay” Give me some sugar. She also enjoyed teaching all of children, grands, and great grands the song Did you ever go fishing on a bright sunny day? Nadine was also an avid water skier, and she loved the Beach. The family will receive friends Sunday March 13, 2022 from 1:00-2:00pm at Bethany Baptist Church with service beginning at 2:00pm. Interment will immediately follow the service in the adjoining cemetery. Bro. Tony Layton will be officiating. Condolences may be offered online at www.usreyfuneralhome.com.
