LaDonna Meeks Smith, 76, of Vestavia Hills, Alabama went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, February 27, 2022. She was born on April 2, 1945 in Talladega, Alabama. LaDonna was a devoted member of Salem Presbyterian Church, PCA. Gigi, as she was affectionately known, was a loving and devoted Mother, Grandmother, avid prayer warrior, and was loved by all who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be remembered for her devotion to others, her dedication to her family, and her love for the Lord. In December of this year, she would have celebrated her 50th year of employment at Vulcan Materials Company in Birmingham, Alabama, where she will be remembered as a kind, loyal, and faithful coworker. LaDonna was preceded in death by her parents, Luther M. and Mary W. Meeks; and brother, Ronald M. Meeks. Survivors include her daughter, Payge Smith Chambliss (Lee) of Vestavia; granddaughter, Libby Chambliss Mitchell (Adam) of Chelsea; and sister, Brenda Brooks of Talladega. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, March 3, 2022, at Oak Hill Cemetery in Talladega, Alabama, with Pastor Mike Russell officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made in memory of LaDonna Smith to Salem Presbyterian Church 10068 Renfroe Road Alpine, Alabama 35014. These funds will be used for missions and benevolence; two areas of the Lord’s work that were very dear to LaDonna’s heart. Usrey Funeral Home in Talladega will direct
