Mr. Scott E. Sanders, 60, of Ashville, Alabama passed away on February 24, 2022 in Birmingham. Mr. Sanders was a member of Greensport Baptist Church and Music Director since 2003. He worked in management with Walmart for over 17 years. He loved coaching softball and baseball and was an avid golfer. Mr. Sanders was a 1979 graduate of Ashville High School where he played basketball and football. He loved traveling and the University of Alabama Crimson Tide Football Program. He was preceded in death by his father, Austin Sanders. He is survived by his wife, Teresa S. Sanders; daughters, Leighanna Smith (Joshua) and Stephanie Browning (Jim); son, Christopher Sanders; mother, Joyce Sanders; brothers, Harlan Sanders (Marsha) and Don Sanders (Sis); and his grandchildren, Andy, Noah, and Abby Kate Browning. The funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm on Sunday, February 27, 2022 at Greensport Baptist Church with Dr. Michael Mills and Bro. Gary Hanner officiating. Interment will follow in the adjoining cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 2:00 until 3:00 at the church. Pallbearers will be Tom Sanders, Casey Ratliff, Carey Ratliff, Jesse Sanders, John Sanders, Sammy Freeman, Kyle Hamlin, and Scott Mayo. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Building Fund of Greensport Baptist Church. Condolences may be offered online at www.usreyfuneralhome.com. Usrey Funeral Home, Pell City, will direct the service.
