Obituary of Franklin Delano Heath

Franklin Delano Heath of Talladega passed away February 21, 2022, at the age of 89. A funeral service will be held in his honor at 1:00 pm, Saturday, February 26, 2022, at Usrey Funeral Home of Talladega with Raymond Stewart officiating. Interment will follow at Pine Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm prior to the service. Franklin was a native of Talladega and lived in California for 30 years before moving back to Talladega in 1997. He was a member of Cherry Street Church of God in Talladega and former member, deacon, clergyman, and usher of Torrance Church of God in California. He was a United States Army Veteran of The Korean War. He was a true example of a strong Christian man, who strived not only to teach but to live a Godly life, and to show Christ to all he met. Mr. Heath is survived by his daughters, Rene’ Willacy (Steve) of Boise Idaho, Vicki Roberts (Allen) of Savannah, TN, grandchildren, Melissa Windham (Jesse), Matthew Roberts (Shelly), Marissa Kiddy (Mark), Miranda Laney, Nathaniel Willacy (Maria), great-grandchildren, Hannah Roberts, Kambria Roberts, Miriam Windham, Franklin Willacy, and Elizah Willacy and numerous loved brothers and sisters. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He is preceded in death by his parents Ed and Florence Heath and his loving wife Mary Katherine Heath. Pallbearers will be Allen Roberts, Matthew Roberts, Mark Kiddy, Jesse Windham, Steven Willacy, Sam Waites, and Sawyer Waites. Usrey Funeral Home of Talladega is directing services.
