Obituary of George Morris Reinier, Sr.

George Morris Reinier, Sr., of Munford, AL, left this earth to join his Heavenly Father Sunday, February 13, 2022, at the age of 85. His funeral service will be 2:00 pm, Wednesday, February 16, 2022, at Munford Baptist Church with John Trickett officiating. Burial will follow at Munford Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church from 12:30 to 2:00 pm. Mr. Reinier was a native of Indiana and was a current resident of Munford, AL. He was a longtime and very active, involved member of Munford Baptist Church. He was retired from Aviagen after 23 years, was a cattle farmer, and worked for NASA where he was involved with all the Apollo missions. George was a much-loved father, grandfather, great grandfather, friend, mentor, co-worker and will be greatly missed. George was preceded in death by his parents Joe and Bertha Reinier, wife Brenda Reinier, sister Ruthie Abel, brother Marvin Reinier, stepdaughter Claudia Hall, and stepson J.P. Gibson. He is survived by his sons Micheal (Melissa) Reinier, Joey (Lee Anne) Reinier, stepsons Howard Gibson, Jeff Madden, fiancée Pamela Stout, brother Charlie Reinier, grandchildren Matthew Reinier, Ashton Reinier, Andrea (Kelso) Floyd, Jakob Reinier, Alyssa Reinier, 9 great grandchildren, bonus son Greg Gilliland and a ton of bonus grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Kaleb Lackey, Bo Wright, John Daily, Greg Gilliland, Duane Wright, and Greg Street.
