Mrs. Ruth Elaine Bates Hambright, 73, of Ragland, Alabama passed away on February 8, 2022 in Birmingham.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence Bates and Pauline Tatum; brothers, Donald Bates and David Bates; grandson, Nicholas Dunnavant; and great-grandson, Shane Jelliffe.
She is survived by her significant other, Greg Warren; children, Jack Broughton (Carla), Kenny Dunnavant, Pamela Brabb (Steve), Samuel Dunnavant and Jeff Dunnavant (B.J.); sisters, Linda St. John and Sandy Wilkinson (Pete); grandchildren, Ashley Jellife (Shane), Danielle Anthony (Nick), Wesley Broughton, Brandi Faile (Ricky), Lucas Dunnavant, Shelby Dunnavant, Spencer Brabb (Alyssa), Brandon Brabb, Katelyn Dunnavant, Dorian Dunnavant, Levi Dunnavant, and Patrick Tollison (Emily); 14 great- grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and her 2 dogs, Rambo and Peanut.
The funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, February 10, 2022 at Usrey Funeral Home, Pell City, with Rev. Brian Robinson officiating. Interment will follow at St. Clair Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
