Betty Fuller Gaither, 93 of Talladega passed away January 28,2022. Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm Wednesday February 2, 2022, at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with burial in adjoining cemetery. Reverend Clyde Pettus will officiate the service. Her family will receive friends from 5-8pm Tuesday at Usrey Funeral Home in Talladega.
Betty was the oldest living member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday school, vacation bible school and was a member of W.M.U., She was retired from the textile industry working for Crown Textile and Med-Line industries. She was a avid flower gardener and loved gospel music, she was also an avid Quilt maker who loved making many beautiful Quilts for her family. Betty was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her husband Louie “Luke” Gaither, parents Leana Merle and L.B. Fuller, son Franklin E. Gaither, grandson Eric L. Gaither, and brothers Robert and Billy Fuller.
Betty is survived by sons Terrell Gaither (Diane), Chris Gaither, Larry Gaither, daughters Brenda Lowery (Billy), Donna Debose (Ronnie), Lulu Mitchell (Travis), Jeanie Gaither, sister Jean Fuller, brother James Fuller and by her fur baby “Charlie”, her 18 grandchildren Todd Gaither, Becky Gaither Johnson, Nancy Savino, James Gaither, Jeffrey Gaither, Cliff Gaither, Kim Gaither, Larry Gaither, Richard Gaither, April Gaither, Misty Landry, Stacy Gonzalez, Charity Robertson, Perry Woodard, Benjamin Woodard, Gwen Woodard, Matthew Mitchell, Amy Jones, 33 great-Grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Todd Gaither, Matthew Mitchell, Perry Woodard, Jeffrey Gaither, Wes Johnson, Pete Gaither, Jimmy Landry, and Richard Gaither. Honorary pallbearers will be the congregation of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Usrey Funeral Home Talladega will direct.
