Obituary of Julius Wayne Fulmer
Julius Wayne Fulmer, of Talladega, passed away unexpectedly on January 29,
2022. He was 80.
Wayne was a lifelong resident of Talladega where he was well known in the
community, especially among the restaurants he frequented daily. He was an avid
walker, which he contributed to his long life and health. He also loved competitive
sports, including bowling, pool shooting, and watching football. He was a man of
few words that enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, and is remembered as a kind,
honest, and humble man who loved his family dearly.
Wayne was the beloved father of Angela Ash (Mike) and proud grandfather of Lee
Ferrell, Jr (MJ) and Mary Longino (Dylan), along with three great-grandchildren,
Rylee, Everett, and Lawson. He was the baby brother of 6 children and is survived
by his two brothers, Roy (Yvonne) and Jimmy (Mary) Fulmer and one sister, Joyce
Knight (Charles).
He is predeceased by his parents, Belle and Julius, and his sisters, Wallace Cowser
and Betty Sue Chandler (Fred), along with several dear friends.
Visitation will take place at Usrey Funeral Home in Talladega, AL on Tuesday,
February 1, 2022, from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. with a 2:00 pm graveside service to follow at
Oak Hill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Central Baptist Church in Talladega,
AL, where he was a loyal member for over 50 years.
