As my brother-in-law, I always received respect and consideration from you. I enjoyed the time that you were my sister's husband. You were also a wonderful father to my nieces Margo and Robin. Take care up there in Heaven. We shall see each other again.

2 Corinthians 11:13-15
13 For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.
14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.
15 Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.
One of Dad's favorites.

We are very disappointed to not have been able to raise the funds in time to travel to AL and say goodbye to our dad. I hope he knows how much we really wanted to be there and I truly feel he does.
For those who will be in attendance, he would have been so blessed to know that you're there celebrating his life; His life of being a good provider, loving his church and his brothers and sisters within, loving his family, and being a problem solver. Almost anything you can think of from making salsa to mending clothes, he had experience and a story. His sense of humor was what I remember most fondly. He said things that stuck with me for decades, still giving me chuckles to this day. He was also a generous person, using his ministry to feed, educate, and house those in need, often setting an example that others followed. In many of these ways, he was a leader. He would make a point, or have an idea and before you knew it, everyone was behind or alongside him. While the world needs more charity and strong leadership, we also choose to celebrate the freedom from the pain he was in and to rejoice in knowing that he is experiencing more peace and bliss than we can imagine.
We will miss him, and that does cause grief, but hopefully we can find comfort in knowing he is at peace and one day we will have the joy of seeing him again.

Distance can rob loved ones of so many experiences, but now he is always close.
Thank you for the cups of coffee together and the long chats (I'll leave a cup for you always). Thank you for the spriggle hair notes and all of the cards. Thank you for being proud of us. We will miss you.
