Harold W. Jacobs - Talladega, Alabama
Mr. Harold Jacobs, 82 passed away peacefully at his residence on January 17, 2022.
His parents were LD and Ventura Jacobs of Goodwater, Alabama who proceeded him in death.
Mr. Jacobs graduated Goodwater High School and Athens State University. For over twenty-five years, he was employed by the Talladega County School System as a High School Principal, Teacher, Football Coach and Media Director. He was owner of Jacobs Garden Center in Talladega, and Jacobs Flowers in Goodwater, Alabama. He was a member of Lincoln Baptist Church and cofounder with his son of Metroplex Family Church in Burleson, Texas.
He is survived by his wife Gail Jacobs, son Brian Jacobs (Sheila), daughter Dana Jacobs Stratton, sister Dr. Margaret Pope, grandchildren, Allison Jacobs, Benjamin Jacobs, Samuel Jacobs, Courtney Stratton, Caitlin Stratton, and Cassidy Stratton.
A funeral service will held January 25, 2022, 2:00 pm at Usrey Funeral Home of Talladega with visitation from 1:00 to 2:00 pm. Burial will follow at Pine Hill Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Gary Tapley, Samuel Jacobs, Felix Burns, Chris Pope, Lee Pope and Clarence Haynes.
