Name: Mr. Roy Bannister Age: 80 Residence: Pell City, Alabama Date of Death: September 22, 2014 Place of Death: Birmingham, Background: Mr. Bannister was a member of Cropwell Baptist Church. He was retired from Hayes Aircraft after 40 years of service. He enjoyed the last 17 years farming and enjoying the company of his friends at the Manning Coffee Shop. Mr. Bannister was a veteran of the US Marine Corps. He distinguished himself with courage and valor, receiving two purple hearts and the Presidential Unit Citation. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gordon and Viginia Bannister, by two brothers, Troy Bannister and Jack Stewart, and by two sisters, Nora Bannister and Violet Bannister.
