William David Woodard,81 of Lincoln passed away December 25, 2021. Funeral services will be held 1:00pm Wednesday December 29, 2021, at Blue Eye Baptist Church with burial in the adjoining cemetery. David’s family will receive friends from 12:00pm-1:00pm Wednesday at the church. Tommy Carr will officiate the service.
David was preceded in death by his wife Rita Woodard, he was a native and lifelong resident of Lincoln, Army Veteran and retired from Anniston Army Depot as the supervisor of the optical unit, after his retirement he enjoyed gardening and photography and got his Masters Certificate in Horticulture and Landscape Design.
He survived by his daughters Lanie Woodard Deschepper (Moose), Kelly Woodard Hurt (Chris), grandchildren Brittani Cleveland (Josh), Ryan Roberts, Mason Roberts, Meghan Johnson (Neal), Jonathan Owens (Ashley), Anthony Owens (Kiara), Christopher Hurt, Victoria Deschepper, Mandy Cannon (Omar), Ryan Deschepper, great-grandchildren Carson Roberts, Madison Johnson, Liliana-Kate Johnson, sisters Marie Smelley (Jerry), Linda Skinner, brother Gregory Woodard and a host of nieces and nephews. Usrey Funeral Home Talladega will direct services.
