Sandra Fincher Ponder passed away Thursday, December 9, 2021, at the age of 73. A memorial service will be held in her honor at 11:00 am, Friday, December 17, 2021, at Usrey Funeral Home of Talladega with Michael Coleman officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 am prior to the service.
Sandy was a native and lifelong resident of Talladega. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and was retired from The Daily Home/St. Clair Times. She was an avid bowler and loved her friend group.
Mrs. Ponder is preceded in death by her husband, Dwight Ponder, sister, Doris Hughston and parents, Cecil and Helen Fincher. She is survived by her sons, Mark Guyther (Pam), Rodney Ponder (Tina), grandchildren, Karli Guyther, Gage Guyther, Leah Ponder and Luke Ponder, brother, Robert Fincher (Julie), sister, Cecilia Patterson, brother-in-law, Dorman Hughston and several nieces and nephews.
