Obituary of Linda McDaniel Noel

Linda “Ginny” McDaniel Noel of Alpine passed away December 07, 2021 at the age of 70. A funeral service will be held in her honor at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, December 10, 2021 at Usrey Funeral Home in Talladega. The family will receive friends from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. on Thursday, December 09, 2021. The family will have a private burial to be held at a later date. Mrs. Noel was a native of Alexander City and has lived in Talladega for the past 38 years. She earned a Bachelor’s Degree of Education from Auburn University and a Master’s Degree of Education from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She later worked as an educator at and retired from the Alabama Institute for the Deaf and Blind. Mrs. Noel was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and a baptized Christian. She is survived by her husband, William Clardy Noel, son, George Lynwood French, mother, Willian McDaniel, daughter-in-law, Ekaterina S. French, sisters, Beverly Delores Deitz and Julia Denise Hanna, brother, Stephen Lindburg McDaniel, grandchildren, Svetlana French and George A. French, mother-in-law, Nancy Noel and sisters-in-law, Lee Cook and Sandra Hendon. Mrs. Noel is preceded in death by her father, Lindburg McDaniel and father-in-law, Clardy Noel. Honorary pallbearers will be Mathew Carr, Austin Shiftlett, George French, Jr., Grant Lovelady, Whit Lovelady, and Blake Cook. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or to Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
