Obituary of Darrell Lane Matson

Darrell Lane Matson, 64 of Talladega passed away December 3, 2021.Funeral services will be held 11:00am Thursday December 9,2021 at Usrey Funeral Home Chapel in Talladega. Burial will be in Pine Hill Memorial Park. Kevin Jones will officiate the service. Darrell was a native of Talladega County, he was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and worked for many years as a supervisor in the plywood manufacturing business across the southeast United States. Darrell was an avid hunter, fan of Alabama football and was a great baseball and softball player. He was preceded in death by his father, C. D. (Tebo) Matson and mother Faye Harville Matson. He is survived by a daughter Jennifer Matson and her husband Steve Tuck of Talladega; two brothers Randy Matson of Lincoln; and Barry Matson of Talladega; and two grandchildren, John Ellis and Bianca Ellis of Talladega. Pallbearers will be Tom Bowerman, Perry Nelson, Dixon Cooper, Tommy Matson, Tony Matson. Usrey Funeral Home Talladega will direct the service.
