Obituary of Peggy Limburg Deck

Peggy Limburg Deck Peggy Limburg Deck, 92, passed away Tuesday morning, November 23, 2021 in Oakwood, GA. A graveside service will be held for Mrs. Deck on Sunday, November 28, 2021 at 1:00 PM at Pine Hill Memorial Park with Rev. Stephen Keller officiating. Mrs. Deck was born on November 14, 1929 in Bristol, Virginia, the daughter of George and Britannia Limburg. She was one of eight children and always appreciated her family and friends in Bristol. She married Edward Deck Jr on June 24, 1950 and shortly thereafter they moved to Talladega, AL where she resided until moving to Oakwood, GA late in her life to be nearer her children. She was employed for many years at S & R Lumber and Supply Co in Talladega where she made many lifelong friendships with coworkers and customers. She enjoyed spending time with family and raising vegetables in her garden. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Talladega. Peggy was preceded in death by her husband, Edward in 2013, her daughter, Janice Deck Keller (Steve) in 2020 and her grandson, Jason Thomas Hamilton (Leigh Ann) in 2013. She is survived by her two sons, Ed Deck (Cynthia) and Steve Deck (Jennifer), her grandchildren, Sam Deck (Alexa), Ben Deck (Virginia),her great grandson, Taylor Hamilton, her sister, Betty Oliver (Tommy) and her sister in law, Mary Limburg and several nieces and nephews. The family wishes to thank the staff at the Waterford at Oakwood for their kindness and compassion they provided to Peggy. Usrey Funeral Home in Talladega will direct the services on behalf of the family.
