Betty Joyce Stone, 84 of Talladega passed away Monday, November 22 2021, at Grandview Medical Center in Birmingham. Mrs. Stone's graveside services will be Friday, November 26, 2021 at 1:00 pm at Midway Memory Gardens with Gary Plummer officiating. Visitation will be Friday, November 26, 2021, 11:30 – 12:30 at Usrey Funeral Home prior to services.
Mrs. Stone was a native and lifelong resident of Talladega, of the Baptist faith and was retired from Palm Beach and Shocco Springs Baptist Assembly.
Mrs. Stone is survived by two daughters: Janie Stone Wells (David) of Pell City, Tammy S. Harvell (Donald) of Talladega, step son Michael Stone (Sandra) of Sylacauga, lifelong friend Ralph Watson, sisters: Belinda McClellan (Clint) and Cindy Beard both of Lincoln, and brother Gene Beard (Nora)of Talladega. Grandchildren: Josh Whitehead (Deonne) Stoney McGowan, Kaley McGowan, and Bradley Harvell (Gabby), great grandchildren: Carson Whitehead, Gavin McGowan, Kyleigh Bittle, Mylee Bittle, Harper Harvell, Hyland Harvell, and Hagan Harvell.
Mrs. Stone was preceded in death by her parents, Louie and Janie Beard, brother, Jerry Beard, and sisters, Annie Beard, Bobbie Thomas, and Virginia Moore.
Pallbearers will be Bradley Harvell, Mike Thomas, Frank Moore Jr., Glen Nabors, Michael Stone, and Randy Klinner.
Honorary pallbearers will be Friends of Presbyterian Oaks.
