Funeral service for Mr. James W. "J.W." Gunter 76, of Lincoln, will be Friday, September 19, 2014, at 2:00 pm at Usrey Brown-Service Funeral Home. Rev. William J. Casaday, Rev. Jacky Morgan will officiate and burial will be in Hepzibah Baptist Cemetery, Talladega AL. His family will receive friends Thursday from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Usrey Funeral Home of Talladega. Mr. Gunter passed away September 16, 2014 in St. Vincent"s East Birmingham, Alabama Mr. Gunter served in The United States Navy and retired from Anniston Army Depot. He was a graduate of Winterboro High School. He is preceded in death by father, Robert Franklin Gunter, mother, Sarah Elizabeth Gunter, son, Clarence Patterson, brother, Robert Joe Gunter, sister, Annie Ruth Thomas. Survivors include wife, Betty Jean Gunter, son, Frank Gunter, son, Dewayne (Cory) Gunter, son, Carl Gardner, daughter, Sarah Gunter, daughter, Melissa (Gil) Torres, daughter, Tammy Williams, brother, Raymond Gunter, sister, Mary (James) Goss, a number of grandchildren, nieces, & nephews. Pallbearers will be Danny Goss, Tim Gunter, J.T. (Pete) Strickland, Jeff Smith, David Lee Dockery, Austin Gunter Honorary pallbearers will be R.A. Milam, Howard David Gunter, Keith Light
