Obituary of James Weyburn Bonds

Mr. James Weyburn Bonds, 89, of Pell City, Alabama passed away on November 9, 2021. Mr. Bonds was retired from the U.S. Air Force after 22 years of service. He was a veteran of both the Korean and Vietnam Wars. He was a member of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church. Mr. Bonds was preceded in death by two daughters, Cheryl Ann Bonds and Judale Lee Bonds; wife, Sharon Ann Bonds; and parents, Claude and Hazel Bonds. He is survived by his daughter, Glynda Lamb (Ken); sister, Faye Wells (Chris); grandchildren, Chris Naylor, Ryann Kessler, Mary Greenwood, and Sarah Stein; and great-grandchildren, Amelia Ayala, Lillian Kessler, and Ellory Stein. The funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, November 11, 2021 at Usrey Funeral Home, Pell City, with Rev. Larry Wimberly officiating. Interment will follow at St Clair Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
