Mattie Lou Hurst, 100 of Munford passed away November 6, 2021 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Funeral Services will be held 2:00pm Wednesday November 10, 2021, at Usrey Funeral Home Chapel, with burial in Stockdale Baptist Church Cemetery. Jeff Rutledge will officiate the service. Her family will receive friends Tuesday from 5-7pm at Funeral Home. She was a longtime resident of the Munford community and a member of Stockdale Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her husband Charles Hurst, son Wayne, daughter-in-love Ruby, seven brothers and four sisters. Mrs. Hurst is survived by her children Roy Hurst (Virginia), Larry Hurst, Dot Diambra (Paul), Johnny Hurst (Renae), Jane Blackerby (Ronnie), her grandchildren, Becky Jenkins (Ken), Darlene Bishop, Stella Hall (Jeff), Phillip Johnson (Kathy), Suzanna Wright, Jennifer Allison (Jason) , Veronica Blackerby (Chris Henke) and Chase Mitchell (Chrystal), 15 great-grandchildren, 14 great-great-grandchildren and one and a half great-great-great-grandchildren. Serving as pallbearers will be Jason Allison, Ronnie Blackerby, Chris Henke, Phillip Johnson, Paul Diambra, Jeff Hall, and Mike Crim. Her family would like to thank her nurse Kelly Moore and staff at Alabama Hospice of east Alabama. Usrey Funeral Home Talladega will direct the services.
