Talladega – Elbert Earl Barton, Jr., 70, passed away October 27, 2021. His funeral service will be 1:00 p.m., Saturday, October 30, at Usrey Funeral Home in Talladega. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery. The family will visit with friends prior to the service beginning at 12:00 p.m.
Earl made his way to Talladega, AL. via the United States Military after previously residing in Indianapolis, Indiana. His hobbies and interests included Harley-Davidson motorcycles, scuba diving and piloting airplanes. He also liked to spend time with “Boss”, his dog, who had just recently passed himself.
Survivors include his wife, Donna Barton; sons, Stephen Douglas, and Elbert Barton, III; several grandchildren, and a brother, Doyle W. Lawson (Maxine).
Preceding him in death were his daughter, Jannie, and his parent’s, Elbert, Sr., and Bernice Barton.
Pallbearers will be Steve Barton, Elbert Earl Barton, III, Doyle W. Lawson, Jr., David Lawson, David Lawson, and Doyle Lawson.
