Sylvania, AL. – Veralyn Robinson Brown, 75, passed away in Scottsboro, AL. on October 26, 2021. A graveside service will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, October 28, at Bethlehem Cemetery in Munford, AL. with Gerald Bittle officiating. Her family will visit with friends at Usrey Funeral Home in Talladega from 12:30 until 1:30, prior to the graveside service. She was a member of Ironaton church of Christ and was a retired nurse from Clay County Hospital and Talladega Healthcare Center. She was the best mother and grandmother who centered her life around her family. She was strong willed, independent, and very influential. She raised four children all alone, put herself through nursing school and graduated with honors. A lasting memory has been left for everyone who knew her. Survivors include her children, Lorrie Hunt (David), Loretta Nall, and Randy Sapp; grandchildren, Christopher Denson (Jessica), Adam Hunt (Kayla), Alex Nall, and Bell Nall; great-grandchildren, Korey Denson, and Carter Davis; sister, Shelby Creed, sister-in-law Peggy Robinson and one niece and nephew who loved her dearly. Preceding her in death were her parent’s, Aubrey and Julia Robinson, brother, Lloyd Robinson, Sr, and a son, John D. Sapp. Pallbearers will be Robin Robinson, Travis Oglesby, Jimmy Creed, and Kayla Hunt. Mrs. Brown’s children would like to especially thank her niece, Novella Robinson Parsons for her compassion, and the care she took of their mother.
