Peggy was born in Talladega County to Eugene and Mabel Fulmer on
April 9, 1937. She graduated from Lincoln High School; worked for Rust
Engineering and Citizens Hospital before retiring from the Talladega
County Sheriff’s department after 33 years of service. Peggy was a
member of First United Methodist church.
Peggy married her high school sweetheart, Harvey Hall on December
31 st , 1954 and was married for 39 years until his passing in March of
1993. Together they raised three boys, Danny, Randy and Rhett.
Mrs. Hall was blessed with many friends and family. She would go out
of her way to help anyone who needed it. In her years with the
Talladega County Sheriff’s Department, as the Chief Clerk for Jerry
Studdard, she developed lifelong friendships. She loved her work and
friends at the Judicial Building and respected them, including
coworkers, deputies, investigators, attorneys and judges with whom
she worked. She enjoyed going to work every day.
Peggy also loved to shop and go to dinner with her close friends,
neighbors, daughters in law and grandchildren. One of her greatest
passions was cooking for others. She enjoyed having family and friends
stop by her house just to eat. She was an avid football fan and a
lifelong Alabama Crimson Tide supporter.
Mrs. Hall was a strong independent woman who insisted on living life
on her terms. She will be missed dearly by her family and friends.
A special thanks to our Mother’s closest friends/neighbors. In recent
years, with declining health they checked on her daily, unloaded her
groceries, cut the grass, took her to doctor’s appointment or visited her
in the hospital. Words cannot express the gratitude we have for you.
We will forever be in your debt. Your love, kindness and Christian
values are an inspiration to us all.
Mrs. Hall is preceded in death by her husband Harvey, parents Eugene
and Mabel Fulmer; brothers Lowell and Herbert Fulmer, sisters
Christine Watts, Louise Gunter, Clara Jean Haynes, and Faye Fulmer.
Mrs. Hall is survived by her 3 sons, Danny (Robin), Randy (Connie) and
Rhett; 4 grandchildren, Claire Dixon (Mike), Dylan Hall, Danielle Hall and
Haley Hall. She was blessed with 4 great-grandchildren, Stella and
Harvey Dixon, Kayden and Mason Thomas and many beloved nieces
and nephews. She is also survived by her very special and loving
