Funeral services for Mrs. Sue Challender Curtis 77 of Talladega Al. will be Saturday October 16, 2021, at Hepzibah Baptist Church 2:00 pm with Dr. Randy Hagan and Justin Millikin officiating. Interment will follow at Bay Springs Baptist Cemetery 1200 county road 311 in Shelby Al. at 4:00 pm. Visitation will be 1:00 – 2:00 pm prior to services at the church. Mrs. Curtis is survived by her husband: Eugene Curtis, Talladega Al. one daughter: Amy House Goray, Talladega Al, one son Greg Curtis, Shelby Al. one sister: Connie Jones, Talladega Al. four grandchildren: Tristan House, Cole Curtis, Hannah Curtis, and Morgan Nicholson, also special nieces and nephews Rebecca Jones Blankenship, Steven Jones, and Angie Challender. Mrs. Curtis was preceded in death by her parents: Ed and Mildred Challender, one brother Tommy Challender and a nephew Mike Challender. Mrs. Curtis was a native and lifelong resident of Talladega, member of Hepzibah Baptist Church where she worked with children youth ministries and also a member of the young at heart club. She was also a member of the Renfroe Homemakers club. Pallbearers for the service will be: David Walker Challender, Matthew Challender, Drew Challender, Steve Jones, Randy Klinner, and Kelly Blankenship.
