Funeral services for Franklin “The Budd” Tims, 75 of Talladega will be Friday, September 12, 2014 at 11:00 am at the chapel of Usrey Funeral Home. Steve Latham will officiate. Graveside service with military honors will be Friday at 2:00 pm at The Alabama National Cemetery in Montevallo. His family will receive friends Thursday from 6-8 pm at Usrey Funeral Home of Talladega. Mr. Tims passed away September 8, 2014 at the VA Hospital in Birmingham. He is preceded in death by his parents, Grady and Alma Tims, son, Albert Franklin Tims, brothers, Russell Tims and Edward Tims, sisters, Kate Hughes and Macie Morgan. Mr. Tims was a native of Talladega. He was retired from the St. Clair County Correctional Facility. He was a US Army Veteran that served four years in Vietnam where he was injured. He reenlisted in the US Air Force and served another four year term. Huge Alabama fan. He is survived by his son, Johnny Ray Tims, daughter, Lori Tims, grandchildren, Nathan Tims, Kayla Tims, and Austin Tims, sisters, Corslean “Dene” Brown, Faye Boswell and Evie Lackey, Brenda Tims, brothers, Harold Tims and Rodney Tims, several nieces and nephews.
