Obituary of Lloyd Stanley Robinson

Lloyd Stanley Robinson, Jr was born on May 30, 1960, and has been exceptional his whole life. He died, September 14, 2021in Decatur, AL. Stan was a special person to so many people and loved by all who knew him; a gentle giant who understood the importance of a porch swing, a glass of sweet tea and good music. Stan was the first child in the State of Alabama to be diagnosed with PKU, paving the way for all children to be tested for PKU with a simple blood test before leaving the hospital. Although Stan was mentally challenged, he was perfect for our family. He is survived by his mother, Peggy Robinson, sister and brother-in-law, Novella and Steve Parsons and his favorite niece and nephew, Claire Parsons and Charlie Parsons. He is also survived my numerous cousins who dearly love and adore him. He is preceded in death by his father, Lloyd S. Robinson, Sr and a sister, Stacy Kyle Robinson. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Stan can be made to AGAPE of North Alabama https://www.agapecares.org/support-us) or to the Madison Church of Christ Children’s Library (www.madisonchurch.org). Graveside service will be at Pine Hill Memorial Park in Talladega, Alabama with Jimmy Clark and Rusty Stephens officiating. Pallbearers will be Steve Parsons, Charlie Parsons, Jimmy Creed, Gerald Bittle, Keith Maxwell and Kevin Stephens. Special thanks to our VOA family who provided exceptional care for Stan and became our second family. We find comfort in knowing he is now with our Creator, made more perfect and has made Heaven much sweeter. Usrey Funeral Home of Talladega is directing services.
