Mr. Lonnie Jerry Pinkston, 81, of Ragland, Alabama passed away on September 12, 2021 in Pell City. Mr. Pinkston was a retired kiln operator at Ragland Block with over 20 years of service. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during the Vietnam Era, and was a former Ragland Police Officer. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Sharon Ratliff; his beloved furbaby, Milo; parents, Eary and Emery Pinkston; and his siblings, Geradine, Dorris, Nettie, Bobby and Gene. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Jeanette Gray Pinkston; daughters, Wilda Barrett, Teresa Hall (Greg), Wanda Chapman (Rusty), and Angel Davis (James); grandchildren, Brandi Wolfe, Derek Wolfe, Jennifer Hyde (Jason), Melanie Johnson (Dustin), Kristy Schmitt (Joe), Candace Hudgins (Brandon), Brittney Wolfe, Justin Chapman (Brandi), Tasha Chapman, Emery Davis, & Izzack Davis; great-grandchildren, Destiny Barron, Nathan Barron, Jayden Johnson, Alanah Schmitt, Sarah Hudgins, Lexie Johnson, Isaac Schmitt, Hayli Wolfe, Nolan Johnson, Noah Hyde, EmmaLynn Hudgins, Hagen Hudgins, Landyn Chapman, Layne Chapman, Roper Hudgins, Dalton Wolfe, Graysen Davis, Rhiannon Chapman, Ethan Wolfe & Zane Wolf; great-great-grandchildren, Henry & Carly. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, September 16, 2021 at Macedonia Baptist Church with Rev. Bryan Robinson officiating. Interment will follow in the adjoining cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from 10:00 am - 11:00 am at the church. Pallbearers will be Jack Bice, James Davis, Danny Dixon, Brandon Hudgins, Greg Hall and Izzack Davis.
