Obituary of James Marion Milam

Funeral service for Mr. James Marion Milam, 77, of Talladega, will be Sunday, September 7, 2014, at 2:00 pm at Usrey Brown-Service Funeral Home. Rev. Joe Daniels, Rev. Larry Wells will officiate and burial will be in Pine Hill Memorial Park, Talladega AL. His family will receive friends Saturday from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm and Usrey Funeral Home of Talladega will direct. Mr. Milam passed away September 5, 2014 in Citizens BMC Talladega, Alabama He was a longtime resident of Talladega and a member of New Hope Baptist Church. He was an avid fisherman and hunter and an U.S. Army veteran. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He is preceded in death by father, Marion Milam, mother, Florence Milam, sister, Elouise Thornton. Survivors include his wife, Peggy Milam, two daughters, Kellie Milam, Cindy (David) Allred; two grandsons, Chase Taylor, Matthew Allred; granddaughter, Amber (Don) Palmore; two great-grandsons, Brayden Palmore, Bryce Allred; two great-granddaughters, Caitlyn Palmore, Alyssa Palmore; sister, Louise (Larry) Wells; brother, Lynn Ray (Marie) Milam; Pallbearers will be Chase Taylor, Matthew Allred, Larry “Pete” Wells, Blake Wells, Jay Milam, and Freddie Roberts. Honorary pallbearers will be Tim Doyle and David Chandler. In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to New Hope Baptist Church 950 17th St. Talladega, AL 35160.
