Obituary of Ocie Jean Nabors

Auburn, AL. – Ocie Jean Nabors, 80, passed away August 26, 2021. Her graveside service will be 12:30 p.m., Thursday, September 2, at Pine Hill Memorial Park in Talladega with William Einhorn officiating. Mrs. Nabors was a native and lifelong resident of Talladega. She owned and operated Jean’s Ceramics and Tanning and was retired from Palm Beach. Survivors include her daughter, Sherri Nabors Rollins (Micheal Toms); her son-in-law, Gary Taylor; grandchildren, Eric Daniel Merkel, Amanda Merkel Einhorn (Will), Mark Allen Taylor (Katie), Jeffery Wayne Smith, and James Hunter Smith; her great-grandchildren, Addison Michele Einhorn, Faith Sharon Einhorn, Hannah Jean Einhorn, and Rory Finn Taylor. Her caregivers were Felicia Canady and Gladys Gulette. Preceding her in death were her parent’s, Chester and Willie Mae Fomby, her brother, Ira “Sonny” Wilson Fomby; her husband, William Daniel Nabors, and her beloved daughter, Billie Jean Nabors Taylor.
