Mary Lackey Atkisson Samuels,87 of Talladega passed away August 27, 2021. Memorial Services will be held 2:00pm Thursday September 2,2021 at Usrey Funeral Home Chapel in Talladega. Her family will receive friends Wednesday September 1, 2021, at Usrey Funeral Home from 5:00pm-7:00pm.
Mrs. Samuels was a lifelong resident of Talladega County. She was a member of The Church of Christ,was retired from the Textile Industry after 30 years and then she helped care for the elderly with Elder Care.
She is preceded in death by her parents Luke and Bert Lackey, sons Stanley and Bobby Atkisson, great-grandchildren Zoey Atkisson and Dylan Arnold Joe Atkisson.
She is survived by her daughter Alice Johnson, son Perry (Linda) Atkisson, 17 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren, 22 great-great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Alzheimer Research. Usrey Funeral Home of Talladega is directing services.
