Obituary of Michael Glenn Bearden

Michael Glenn Bearden, 57, of Riverside, Alabama passed away on Saturday, August 21, 2021. Mike was survived by his wife of 37 years, Phillis Bearden; 3 daughters, Marie (Teddy) Elkins, Katie (Joey) Gentry and Sarah (Donald) Lovell; 10 grandchildren, Lindsay, Riley and Malia Elkins, Braden and Gracie O’Barr, Ava Gentry, Devin, Kaden, Kellan and Abigail Lovell; 4 brothers, Jim (Ann) Economes, Rickey (Sue) Economes, Don Bearden and Terry Bearden; as well as multiple nieces and nephews. Mike is preceded in death by his mother, Judy Stover; father, Jerry Bearden; brother, David Bearden; and sister, Sheila Economes. Mike was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was a friend to so many, which attributed to the fact that he never met a stranger. He loved many things in his lifetime, from Alabama football, coaching little league and peewee sports, to cheering on his Atlanta Braves. But his love and adoration for his grandchildren was at the top of that list. Mike was truly one of a kind, and will be missed by many. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, August 28, 2021 at Usrey Funeral Home, Pell City, with Pastor Hunter Roe officiating. Interment will follow at Seddon Cemetery.
