Obituary of Joyce Louise Knight Holt

Montgomery- Joyce Knight Holt passed away on August 19, 2021 at the age of 96. She was a native of Talladega before moving to Montgomery in 1992 to live with her daughter. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Talladega, and she also attended Ripley Street Baptist Church in Montgomery. She retired from Alabama Institute for the Deaf and Blind after 32 years of service. Mrs. Holt was a fun, loving, and caring mother. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Myrtle Knight, and 7 brothers and sisters. Mrs. Holt is survived by her daughter, Nancy Irene Holt, and a host of nieces and nephews. Her funeral service will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Sunday, August 22, at Usrey Funeral Home in Talladega with Reverend Jim Free officiating. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service at Usrey. Interment will follow the service at Oak Hill Cemetery in Talladega.
