John Calvin Sprayberry, Sr., 89, passed away August 14, 2021 at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in Pell City, AL. He is preceded in death by his first wife Opal and his second wife Francis and his great, great grandson Cohen. He served in the U. S. Navy from 1950 to 1970. He worked for the Department of Justice from 1971 to 1991. He was an avid bowler, golfer and hunter.
He is survived by his 4 children, Myra May of Covington, GA, John C. Sprayberry, Jr. (Diane) of Talladega, AL, Randall Sprayberry (Teresa) of Milledgeville, GA and Regina Temples (Dwayne) of Eatonton, GA and Blanche Pearson of Pell City, AL, his best friend and companion. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held for John Sprayberry Sr. at the Talladega Bowling Center on Sunday, August 22 from 12:00 until 3:00 pm with the eulogy being delivered at 1:30 pm. Due to Covid, masks are recommended to those who are not vaccinated or have been exposed.
