Obituary of James Emlyn Thomas

James E. Thomas, 89, of Pell City, AL passed away peacefully on Sept. 27th, 2013. He retired from Rust Engineering Company as a Fire Protection Engineer in 1985. He was graduate of Kent State University in Ohio where he was raised. He is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years, Dorothy, his four children, Jim Thomas (Debbie), Sue Abts (Jeff), Becky Fincher (Randy), Bill Thomas (Robyn), eight grandchildren and one great grandchild. The Memorial Service will begin at 12:00 PM on Monday, September 30th, with visitation an hour before at Wilson Chapel United Methodist Church in Roebuck with Rev. Alex Oberneder officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Alacare Hospice in Pell City, or to Wilson Chapel.
