Talladega – Erie Pauline Thornton, 90, passed away July 29, 2021. Her funeral service will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, August 2 at Usrey Funeral Home with Scott Epperson officiating. The family will have a visitation for extended family and friends Sunday evening, August 1, from 5 until 7 p.m. at Usrey. Interment will be at Stockdale Baptist Church.
Mrs. Thornton loved flea markets and yard sales, she enjoyed talking on the phone and visiting with her flea market friends. She was a military wife who lived and traveled all over the world. Mrs. Thornton attended Clairmont Springs, Taylor’s Grove and Stockdale Baptist Church.
Survivors include her sons, William Glen Thornton (Leesa) of Talladega and Johnny Ray Thornton (Reita) of Lineville; thirteen grandchildren; twenty-eight great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her parent’s, Dewey, and Velma Taylor; her husband, William Thornton; her daughter, Nellie Sue Thornton; two sisters and four brothers.
