Obituary of Doris Champion Arnold

Doris Champion Arnold, 88 of Talladega, passed away May 24, 2021 at Sylacauga Health and Rehab. Her funeral service will be 1:00 pm, Thursday, at Usrey Funeral Home in Talladega with Larry Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow at Midway Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
Doris was a native of Lincoln and lived most of her life in Talladega. She formerly worked for Russell Mills as a seamstress. She was a member of Chandler Springs Baptist Church.
Mrs. Arnold is survived by her daughter, Shelly Johnson (Dennis); son, Jeff Arnold (Cheryl); sister, Edna Arnold; grandchildren, Kimberly Arnold, Jessica Arnold, Katie Johnson, Richie Johnson, Andrew Arnold, Abigail Miller, Wendy Arnold, Crystal Arnold and 9 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her sons, Jesse, Jimmy, and John Arnold.
Pallbearers will be Neal Arnold, Nicholas Arnold, Carl Upchurch, Daniel Upchurch, Mike Arnold and Jeremy Arnold.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to charity of choice.
Usrey Funeral Home of Talladega is directing services.
