Obituary of Jo Ann Harris

Pell City, AL. – Jo Ann Harris, 81, passed away May 14, 2021. Funeral Service will be 3:00 p.m., Sunday, May 16, 2021 at Usrey Funeral Home in Talladega with Jeff Rutledge officiating. Internment will follow at Pine Hill Memorial Park. There will be a visitation for extended family and friends for one hour prior to the service also at Usrey. Mrs. Harris was a native of Talladega and loved to put her boat in the water to fish. She was a very loving soul and was passionate about being able to babysit her grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her son, Billy O’Dell Galloway; her daughter, Christine Bates; her husband’s, Billy Wren Galloway and Walter Harris; her parents, Zack and Ethel Ledbetter; her sister, Frances Canada, and her brother, Hubert Ledbetter. Survivors include her grandson, Jimmy Wren Bates (Catrina); four great-grandchildren; one great great-granddaughter; several special nieces; one nephew; sister, Lottie Poore, and her devoted friend, Sherry Bright. Serving as pallbearers will be Larry Bishop, Jared Bishop, Preston Cooley, Jonathon Weldon, Larry Bright and Larry Underwood. Dale Canada will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
