Jerry Daniel Caldwell, 72 of Eastaboga passed away May 7, 2021. Funeral services will be held 2:00pm, Tuesday, May 11, 2021 at Usrey Funeral Home Chapel in Talladega with Burial and Military Honors at Midway Memory Gardens. Harold Payne will officiate the service. His family will receive friends Tuesday at Usrey Funeral Home from 1:00pm-2:00pm. Jerry was born on August 1, 1948 in Clay County, Alabama on the way to the hospital. He was the son of the late Charles Everett Caldwell and the late Alma Lucille Caldwell. Jerry is survived by his wife Nancy Davis Caldwell; sons, Brian Lee Caldwell of Lincoln AL, and Shaun Derrick Caldwell and his wife Allison. Jerry graduated from Lincoln High School in 1967 and attended Alabama Christian College in Montgomery. He joined the U.S. Army in 1971 then served in the US Army Reserve where he retired as a Master Sergeant. He worked at the Anniston Army Depot as a machinist and retired a supervisor. Jerry loved his dogs, fishing, fixing anything broken, and always lending a hand to his neighbors. Like his dad, he was always good for a lively conversation. Serving as pallbearers are Shaun Caldwell, Brian Caldwell, Dennis Goray, Scott Phillips Sr., Roger Davis and Jason Green. Honorary pallbearers are Johnny Sims Sr. and Huell “Bud” Harvell. Usrey Funeral Home of Talladega will direct services.
