Ms. Vickie Jean May, 65, of Cropwell, Alabama passed away on April 30, 2021. She was born in Irondale, the youngest daughter of 5 children. She later moved to Leeds, and came to Pell City at the age of 16. She attended Pell City High School and obtained her GED through Jefferson State Community College. She worked at Heavy Duty Dowzer and Honda Manufacturing until she retired in 2015. Ms. May was a charter member of Flow Church in Ashville and attended Northside Fellowship. She was preceded in death by her father, Ollie G. Armstrong; brother, George "Buddy" Armstrong; sister-in-law, Debbie Lynn Armstrong; and brother-in-law, Larry Hulsey. She is survived by her sons, Kerry Phillips and Jeff Phillips (Amanda); daughter, Breanna Northington; mother, Faye Armstrong; brother, Kenneth Armstrong; sisters, Margaret Hulsey and Marilyn Ellis (Charles); grandchildren, Montana Parnell, Logan Phillips, MaKayla Phillips, Hannah Webber, Grayson Phillips, Carter Northington, Landon Northington and Lore Faye Northington; and great-grandson, Xander Nowlin. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, May 3, 2021 at Usrey Funeral Home, Pell City, with Bro. Jeff Phillips officiating. Interment will follow at St. Clair Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Monday from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm at the funeral home. Condolences may be offered online at www.usreyfuneralhome.com.
