Talladega – Jerry Wayne Jones, 71, passed away April 29, 2021. Graveside service for Mr. Jones will be 2:00 p.m., Sunday, May 2, 2021 at Oak Hill Cemetery in Talladega with Jeff Rutledge officiating. His family will receive extended family and friends Saturday evening, May 1, from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Usrey Funeral Home. Jerry was a native of Talladega. He was a 1968 graduate of Talladega High School, he loved his dog “Happy”, fishing with his son, shooting guns, and visiting the casinos in Philadelphia and Las Vegas. Survivors include his wife, Linda; his sons, Jerry Wayne Jones, Jr. (Cera) of Estille Springs, TN., Rodney Jenkins and Jeffrey Jenkins; his sister, Norma Whitlow of Dadeville, AL.; his grandchildren, Jenna Jones, Daniel Jenkins, Cole Jenkins, Grayson Jenkins and Timothy Jenkins; and his great-grandchildren, Jayden and Marley Jenkins. Preceding him in death were his parent’s, Grady and Estelle Brown, and his brother, Aaron Brown. Those serving as pallbearers will be Rodney Jenkins, Jeffrey Jenkins, Daniel Jenkins, Cole Jenkins, Grayson Jenkins, Timothy Jenkins, David Carlisle, Dennis Hodge, Jr., Tony Cheatham and David Pruitt.
