Funeral service for Douglas “Dewayne” Chandler, 44, of Talladega will be Sunday, August 24, 2014 at 4:00 pm at the chapel of Usrey Funeral Home. ________ will officiate. His family will receive friends at Usrey Funeral Home Saturday from 6-8 pm. Usrey Funeral Home of Talladega will direct. Dewayne passed away August 19, 2014 at Citizens BMC. He was a native and longtime resident of Talladega. He was a well-known mechanic and motorcycle enthusiast. He loved his family first and foremost. He also loved to ride his Kawasaki, sing, and make people laugh. He was always ready to help participate in and organize motorcycle benefit rides. He is preceded in death by his mother, Brenda Parton Easterwood; his grandfather, John V. Parton, Sr.; brother, Daniel Douglas Chandler; aunt, Ruby Hurst; mother-in-law, Ann Hallman; brothers-in-law, Charles “Peanut” Hallman and James Hallman; and sister-in-law, Deborah Johnson Chandler. He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Margaret Hallman Chandler; daughters, Ashleigh Chandler and Hannah Chandler; father, Doug Chandler; sister, Cassie Chandler (Jomari); grandmother, Edith Parton; uncle, Vinson Parton (Julia); uncle, Larry Hurst; aunt, Janie Nielson; brothers-in-law, Jerry Hallman (Shannon) and Robert Hallman (Ylanda), along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who were like family to him.
