The family of Glenda Ellen Hollingsworth wishes to inform friends and family that she is now asleep in Abraham’s bosom. Glenda Ellen Tumlin was born November 25, 1938 to Fred and Irene Tumlin. Glenda passed on Saturday April 10, 2021. Funeral services will be 2:00pm Wednesday April 14, 2021 at Usrey Funeral Home Chapel in Talladega AL with burial in Pine Hill Memorial Park. Russ Vickers will officiate the services. Glenda is preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Irene Tumlin, and her oldest sister, Nelda Crawford. Glenda is survived by a sister, Barbara Tumlin Taff (David) and her brother, Stanley Tumlin (Linda). She is also survived by her husband, Roy, her three sons Davis (Cheryl), Glenn (Kim), and Mike (Cindy). Roy and Glenda have 8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Glenda grew up in Talladega and graduated from Talladega High School in 1956. Glenda married her husband of 61 years, Roy Hollingsworth, in 1960. After marriage, Glenda joined Roy on a 21-year Air Force career with station assignments all over the world. Glenda enjoyed books, working puzzles, crocheting, teaching vacation Bible school, and spoiling her grandchildren. “Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints.” Psalm 116:15 Usrey Funeral Home of Talladega is directing services.
