Mr. Billy J. Barnes, 74, of Steele, Alabama passed away on March 24, 2021.
Mr. Barnes was a U.S. Army veteran who served in the Vietnam War. He was a member of Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church on Chandler Mountain. He was a lifelong farmer.
He is survived by his wife, Patsy Barnes; sons, Tim Barnes (Tammy) and Alex Barnes (Angie); daughter, Amy Bosner (Marty); seven grandchildren; seven great- grandchildren; brothers, J.M. Barnes, David Barnes (Martha) and Kenneth Barnes (Vanessa); and sister, JoAnn Smith.
The funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm on Saturday, March 27, 2021 at Usrey Funeral Home, Pell City, with Bro. Paul Alexander officiating. Interment will follow at Awtery Family Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Saturday, March 27, 2021, 11:00 am - 12:00 pm at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Alex Barnes,Jamie Ryan, Marty Bosner, Tim Carter, Tyler Tullis and Cody Byrd. Honorary Pallbearer will be Sandy Ketem.
