Talladega – James Harlan Holdridge, 87, passed away on Wednesday, March 17, 2021. Graveside service for Mr. Holdridge will be on Sunday, March 21, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Pine Hill Memorial Park with Kevin Jones officiating. Family will receive friends from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm at Usrey Funeral Home on Sunday. James was a lifelong resident of Talladega. He was the captain of Talladega Rescue Squad and Lieutenant fire fighter for the city of Talladega. He loved riding motorcycles and he could fix anything. He is survived by his daughter, Sonja Holdridge Evans (Sam); sons, Michael Harlan Holdridge (Donna), James Stanley Holdridge (Rachel); grandchildren, Scott Kelley (Vesela), Brian Kelley (Erin), William Matthew Holdridge (Kayla), Kayla Holdridge Champion (Jeremy), Zachery Jackson Holdridge (Corey), Nathan Alexander Holdridge, and ten great-granddaughters. He is preceded in death by his wife, Anne Kathleen Howe Holdridge; father, James Floyd Holdridge; mother, Rada Mae Mitchell Holdridge; brother, George Floyd Holdridge; sisters, Mildred Pilon, Billie Jean Holdridge. Pallbearers will be Kevin Simpson, Jonathan Holdridge, Jr., and Ronnie Davis. Online condolences may be offered at www.usreyfuneralhome.com Usrey Funeral Home in Talladega will direct services.
